Weekend Update
Mar. 22nd, 2010 08:09 amI keep swearing I'll do more of these... Especially now that the weather is good and we're actually doing more things on the weekend.
Saturday.
According to the weather guessers Saturday was supposed to be as glorious as Friday, and actually dawned glorious, so we headed up to Port Townsend to do some shopping and photography. Of course, as is the way of the world, when we were halfway there a layer of clouds drifted in and ruined the light. (And of course the sky cleared as we were on our way home!) Still, I got to drool over some nice wood at Edensaw and Brenda picked up some needed art supplies, so it wasn't a total loss on that front. As always when we go to Port Townsend, William James (Bookseller) lightened our wallets considerably.
I did get some nice photos at the marina, but nothing like I'd hoped since the colors were so subdued. Ah well, practice is always good.
The real gem however was the discovery of an out-of-the-way little BBQ joint with some really, really good BBQ. We were there during a slow spell, so I got to spend some time with the owner philosophizing about BBQ which is always a plus.
Sunday
Sunday was actually the glorious day we were promised for Saturday... Which meant of course that we got to enjoy the glorious day while doing housework. Still, it was nice to open the windows for a while and air the house out.
