Artisanal hands

All the way back in June of last year gwen_the_potter agreed to let me photograph her at her wheel for a photography project... At the time, I thought I had captured nothing. (An occupational hazard for photographers!) Yet, they continued to haunt me. Time and time again, I returned to the set and pondered them, trying and discarding dozens of edits.

Finally... in the wee hours of this morning, these emerged from the fog.

Indeed. And that's part of what took me a long time and many attempts at editing to get right. The other biggie was expressing the way your hands and your clay work together.

As soon as FB get it's act together, I'll post 'em there too.
