Why do I do this?

Standing in the snow for half an hour to photograph a composition created by the snow... and now my feet are 'effing freezing.

Will someone remind me why I keep taking up hobbies that involve leaving my nice warm, dry, computer room and kitchen?

It's 75 here, I can tell because the ice in my tea meltedquicker tha usual.
