Not over yet...
Dec. 21st, 2008 09:00 amAll warm and snugged in here - but we aren't done yet it seems...
When I got up (a little before first light) we had accumulated about 8" of new snow and it had stopped snowing, thank goodness the predicted winds never came... I just checked outside and it has started again. I cleared a spot on the BBQ so I can see how much *more* we accumulate.
Rain mixed with snow, or possibly freezing rain, or maybe just rain is coming our way this afternoon depending on which weather guesser you choose to believe - but they all agree it's going back below freezing tonite and that the light at the end of the tunnel is somewhere around Tuesday. Or maybe Wednesday... <sigh>
We has to skip Morte's party last night, and it doesn't appear likely we'll make Matt and Laura's today... And Brenda and I both have presents for each other or for others stuck god knows where, I'm not going to look at the delivery status page because I really don't want to know! :) :)
I spoke briefly with my folks (in FL) earlier this morning, and my dad was complaining because it was 80 yesterday, and was down to 70 (!) today.
When Brenda gets up from her long winters nap, Corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast and I defrosted a nice pot roast for dinner. Maybe I'll make some beef stew instead...
Stay warm and safe everyone.
