Revisiting
Feb. 24th, 2012 06:44 amOn Flickr, I belong to a group that presents daily photography challenges. Yesterday, the challenge was "Seen From Above", and this photo leapt immediately to mind. I've never been entirely happy with it, and decided to re-edit it to see if I could do any better than the first time... I have learned a thing or three in the last two and a half years after all.

Even though it was shot at dusk, this version is way too dark - something I didn't really know how to correct back then. I also added too much blue in a misguided attempt to convey cold and twilight.

Still not quite right... but much better at expressing how the Pearl glowed in the deepening twilight against the dark water.
