Writer's Block: Do you feel lucky?

Not really... Though I used to have one.

Back when I made my first deployment, I got two sodas out of the machines in the barrack and ended up only drinking one on the bus ride from Charleston to King's Bay. The other spent the whole patrol in my locker - and I drank it on the way back from King's Bay.

So I did that every patrol thereafter.

(And the soda's were Pepsi. I hate Pepsi. But I did it anyhow.)

Working Hands

A reworking of an earlier picture... Mostly to bring out detail in the cloth to avoid it being a big black unattractive blob. But that also ended up taking out some of the wonderful details in the hands. Everything ins a compromise.

Another re-work of an earlier image. While I think that qualities of the image are better overall (I've learned a lot in the year since the original was edited), the composition is much weaker. But my hands are largely tied on the composition since they have very specific display size requirements.

Other than a slight recrop to fit their image size requirements, this one was pretty much submitted as is. This was not by choice - this was because like a jackass I tossed the original RAW file to save disk space.

OK, yeah I'm unhappy on some of the specifics, but I think I have a really strong set of submissions this year. Let's see what the judges think!
