Development of an idea

This photograph was more-or-less accidental. I was actually trying to capture (with no success) the snow that was falling lightly. The bus came by, and I grabbed the shot just to see what would happen... It didn't look too bad, but the bus only filled the bottom third of the fame. I cropped out the top two thirds to produce the version seen here.



Thinking on the first picture, I went out and re-shot it in horizontal format. Much better, but I'm not fond of the silver stripe of the pavement because this one was shot on a cloudy-but-dry day as opposed to the cloudy-but-wet conditions of the original.



Just out of curiosity, I took the second version and drastically cropped it to *really* emphasize the horizontal. It didn't work out too bad I think, but now I want to shoot a version that looks 'up' more than 'out' I think.

Yes, I know I need a leveling cube... But I posted these on Flickr because a couple of people asked about them, so I posted 'em here too.
