Weekend update

I keep meaning to post more of this, and then I forget... I never quite meant for my LJ to turn into a pure photoblog, but on the other hand our LJ's reflect our passions, no?

Saturday

Dave (Thangrand) and Karen hosted a sausage making class at their place... Many friends, much fun, much conversation, and 60 pounds of sausage.

After the work of making it was done, Dave grilled some up and we all had a nice dinner and divvied up the sausage and headed home. (Note to self: I still owe him for mine.)

Sunday

Started out bleh, and not helped by accidentally making decaf coffee. (We keep some around for when we cant a cup in the evening.) Took a nap and got up feeling worse then when I laid down. Finally a shower, a bit of lunch, and a can of coffee I keep around for just such an occasion made the world mostly right. Spent the afternoon alternating between housework and watching cooking shows. Dinner at Silver City accompanied by their fine Ocktoberfest beer rounded out the day.

Sunset over the Olympics

Well, we've come to the end of the Olympic Peninsula photos, the ones from the rest of Sunday yielded nothing useful. So here is one I took a month ago in Silverdale, and then tomorrow I'll start on the ones from the Fair.



I'm not entirely happy with how this one turned out... I'm working here at the limits of my equipment and skill. But, the parts of the map marked "here be dragons" are where the most interesting stuff is after all.
